Administration Assistant

The Bow Valley Primary Care Network (PCN) aims to improve access to primary care, increase emphasis on health promotion and disease / injury prevention and improve coordination of care through inter-professional healthcare teams.

The Bow Valley Primary Care Network has an opening for a 0.8 FTE Administrative Assistant.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:

• Office administration (e.g. phones, mail, file systems, procedure manuals, bookkeeping, accounting, annual audit)
• Human resource support (e.g. payroll, benefits, policies, onboarding, annual review processes and OH&S)
• Business and IT support (e.g. equipment contracts, inventory, insurance, organization technology/solutions)
• Meeting and event planning (e.g. scheduling, venues, catering, set-up, materials, evaluation, minutes, follow-up)
• Special projects (e.g. responding to emerging organizational needs)
• Liaison between the Bow Valley PCN and other stakeholders

Applicants must have:

• Six years of progressively responsible, administrative office experience with evidence of leadership
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Quickbooks Pro and Ceridian payroll software
• Experience and/or training in bookkeeping and accounting
• Demonstrated experience in business processes and records management
• Ability to develop and maintain records management systems
• Demonstrated business writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Ability to work independently in a busy office environment with minimal direction
• Superior oral and written communication
• Advanced administration and business courses are considered an asset

Proof of professional credentials/registration, proof of immunizations in compliance with PCN policies,
a vulnerable sectors criminal records check, valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are conditions of employment.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Some evening work is required.

following successful completion of a 3 month probationary period.
