You'll take a route through daily nutrition-based challenges based on four food-related themes. What's the destination? Being able to practice and sustain nutrition habits that will improve both your short- and long-term physical and mental health.
Bow Valley PCN's Food Trip will encourage you to choose your own daily nutrition-based challenges – some very simple, none too daunting, for example, trying a new recipe, drinking more water or reducing your sugar intake. We'll cheer you on along the way as you check off the tasks you complete. You'll also receive a starter package, plus the chance to win weekly prizes. The biggest reward, however, will be meeting your daily goals and then taking them forward into your regular routines.
Small daily steps
"Understanding food behaviour, what, why and where we eat and taking small, daily steps towards our goals will keep things simple and do-able," says Zarifa Salzgeber, the PCN's Registered Dietitian. "It's the beginning of an ongoing journey toward incorporating long-term positive changes. "
We start on the journey April 1, so check yourself in by clicking HERE, by March 26, 2020. Event staff will be in touch with you the week of March 23 with more details and package pick-up information.
